- A short description of the issueApple Health PermissionsFaith Steps uses Apple Health only with your permission.The app may request access to:
- Step count
- Walking/running distance
- Exercise time
- Heart rate
- Workout write access for completed prayer walksHealth access is optional. If you deny Health access, Faith Steps still opens and can save prayer walks, prayer counts, and reflection notes locally on your device.To update Health permissions:1. Open the iPhone Settings app.
2. Go to Health.
3. Tap Data Access & Devices.
4. Tap Faith Steps.
5. Turn the permissions on or off.Saving Walks to Apple HealthWhen Health write access is enabled, Faith Steps can save completed prayer walks as walking workouts in Apple Health.If a walk does not appear in Apple Health:
- Confirm workout write access is enabled.
- Confirm walking distance write access is enabled if you want distance included.
- Finish the prayer walk from inside Faith Steps.
- Open the Health app and check workouts after a short delay.Faith Steps always saves completed prayer walks to local History first. Apple Health saving depends on your device, Health availability, and permission settings.Apple Watch SupportFaith Steps includes Apple Watch support for prayer walk status and session information.If Apple Watch status does not appear correctly:
- Confirm your Apple Watch is paired with your iPhone.
- Confirm the Faith Steps Watch app is installed.
- Keep iPhone and Apple Watch nearby.
- Open Faith Steps on both devices.
- Restart both devices if connection status does not update.PrivacyFaith Steps does not require an account.Prayer walk history, reflection notes, and app settings are stored locally on your device.
